Please read the notes below

1.  To qualify for the Retired* category of membership, applicants must have been at least of State Retirement age on 31st January of that year.

2.  To qualify for the Disabled* category of membership, applicants must be registered as Disabled and/or be receiving State Benefit and a photo copy of the receipt of the Concessionary Rod License should be supplied.

3.  To qualify for the Student category of membership, applicants must be in FULL TIME Higher Education and evidence of enrolment at College or University must be provided.

4.  To qualify for the Intermediate category of membership, applicants should be 17 years of age and no more than 20 years of age on the 31st January in the year of joining.

5.  To qualify for the Junior category of membership, applicants must have been at least 11 years of age and not more than 17 years of age on 31st January in the year joining.

6.  To qualify for any category of membership, no applicant should have been refused membership of any angling Club/Syndicate/Association, had monies refunded from same,(other than at their own request through long term illness or disability,) or have been found guilty in any Court of any angling related offence/s.

7.  The Committee, and its servant/s, is empowered to refuse to accept, or refund, any Entrance Fee, Subscription Fee or part of.

8.  Membership runs from 1st February to 31st January irrespective of         date of joining.


*In line with current EA policy on Concessionary  Rod Licences, (new rules came into force 1st April 2007) Anyone applying for the Disabled/Retired category membership need only supply  a photocopy of the receipt of their Rod Licence showing that it is a Concessionary Rod Licence.

All junior anglers 12 years of age and over are required to have a rod licence.







The Brasside Gate Access Number from February 2012 will be given on the receipt of membership

Unlike some local clubs, Durham City AC does
not have a Joining Fee and has no extra charge/s
for 2nd/3rd still-water rods (for use on Brasside West Water Only)

Join Durham City AC AND the Angling Trust (paying ATr subs by DD using the form provided with the Club membership) and D.C.A.C members will be entered into a free draw for a ‘3 Year’ Membership of the Club   There are also 2, 1 year memberships to be won. Draw to be held 2012 A.G.M.

Evidence of Angling Trust membership to be supplied to be eligible for the draw.

Angling Trust Application Forms will be included with all new and renewed memberships. Simply fill in your bank details, account and sort-code numbers, sign and post. Its even postage paid. Job done!

Night fishing on the Brasside West Water is controlled by way of a Night Permit. These Permits are no charge but must be obtained in advance from Tony Cockburn; Tony’s contact details are provided with the membership information. Night Fishing Permits are not available to Junior members
